Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
“We can ignore even pleasure. But pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Problem of Pain
Jesus’ call is to everyone. Come to me all…. And he will give you rest. It is a promise and one you can rely on today. But in order to receive rest you need to acknowledge that it is Jesus who will give you that rest. Fall on your knees now and claim the salvation Jesus has got for you and then find the rest he plans for your life.
You are the peace of all things calm
You are the place to hide from harm
You are the light that shines in dark
You are the heart’s eternal spark
You are the door that’s open wide
You are the guest who waits inside
You are the stranger at the door
You are the calling of the poor
You are my Lord and with me from ill
You are the light, the truth, the way
You are my Saviour this very day.
Amen.
